hmm, managed to fix it temporarily but at a cost. it seems i have this problem when i render at BEST or GOOD video quality, but PREVIEW or DRAFT renders fine. Its going to be lacking a lot of quality, but hopefully the 720p will make up for it.

yes kab. i'm very much aware of the rules. i know it doesn't have to be exactly 2 minutes. its that long because thats how i want it to be. you've obviously been trained to watch 1:01 videos on this site of blinking, flashy films. not mine!

but all of that aside, i dont know if i'll have a presentable film. i just tried rendering from vegas for the first time and all i get is an interlaced (wtf?) black and white clip. sometimes it renders the blue color, but then everything else is in B&W. I've never had this happen to me before. i think it has something to do with my HDTV acting as my monitor, but i'm not going out to the store just to buy a new monitor. I'm going to try to see if my laptop will render it properly... but it looks like as of now, hytex wins. fuck my life.
