A Battlefield 1 cinematic written, directed and edited by Hornedal
The main source of inspiration for Shell Shock comes from my all time favorite movie scene, the Omaha Beach scene from Saving Private Ryan. I wanted this cinematic to portray full chaos and madness and really show you how devastating a battlefield can be. In this cinematic you get to follow a shell shocked soldier absolutely lost in the midst of the battlefield. While his friends are being slaughtered one by one he still manages to survive… But the battle has just begun...
Shell Shock took just about 3 months to complete starting in the end of May 2017 and is by far my most elaborate cinematic. It went through loads of rescripts, reshoots and edits until I was content with the final version. While making cinematics is mostly a one man job none of this would have ever been possible without the help from the fantastic Battlefield community and a few very good friends of mine, helping out filming in daily recording sessions. Thank you so much :)
