The NBA 2K League is gearing for the 2021 season. Today, the complete roster of 265 athletes who are eligible to be draftees for the 2021 2K League Draft has been published. This year's draft has 33 international players and 10 women. Lakers Gaming is the No. one pick in the draft on March 13.
Those 33 international players hail from nine countries, which include Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Singapore, Spain, Turkey and the U.K., while the 10 women earned their eligibility through a variety of methods.
There is a comprehensive list of draft-eligible players at the official 2K League website and you can learn more about some of the players in this year's class in the league's Draft Hopefuls series. Teams have had the chance to see all of the players playing in several offseason evaluations.
"The offseason evaluation for the 2020-21 season was our most extensive to date, with 38 tournaments held by teams as part of the NBA 2K League Draft Prospect Series, three international qualifying tournaments and the revamped Women in Gaming initiative, and our first event exclusively for draft-eligible players" 2K League President Brendan Donohue announced. "We're eagerly anticipating an exciting draft night as our teams add 63 of the best 2K players from the world ahead of our fourth season."
The 2021 draft will go for four rounds in which all 23 teams will be needing to fill in holes on their roster of six players. There are currently 63 spots available in the 2K League, and the draft order has been finalized.
